Join Safe and Equal for the Statewide Disability Inclusion Forum 2022 to gain knowledge and resources in supporting victim survivors with disabilities and enhancing inclusive and accessible practice.
The forum will include presentations from: Office of the Public Advocate (OPA); Disability Discrimination Legal Service; Safe Steps Disability and Family Violence Crisis Response Initiative; Women with Disabilities Victoria and Family Violence and Disability Practice Leader Initiative.
Presentations will include information and resources on :
- Guardianship and supported decision making best practice
- Legal support for experiences of disability-based discrimination
- The intersection of Ablism and Sexism as drivers of family violence and barriers to safety
- How to access the Disability Family Violence Crisis Response Initiative
- Family Violence and Disability Practice Leader Initiative supports
Who is this for? All family violence practitioners and team leaders. This forum is open to all specialist family violence practitioners, mangers and Safe and Equal members.
