Come and join us for a guided walk with Uncle Josh West, a Traditional Owner of local Bunurong and Palawa land.
The event will begin with Uncle Josh West providing a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, creating a respectful and culturally safe start to the event.
Following this, Uncle Josh West will take you on a guided cultural bush walk through the Briars Sanctuary. During the walk, you will learn about First Nations connection to Country, including the cultural uses of local plants. This will cover topics such as bush medicine, traditional food sources, artefacts, and land management practices, providing a meaningful and educational experience on culture and Country.

- Meet at the Briars Visitor Centre

- Outdoor walk – wear comfy clothes & shoes
- Learn about bush medicine, food & culture
- Suitable for children or adults who are comfortable walking 2 km at an easy pace.
