NAIDOC Week: 50 Years of Deadly | City of Stonnington
July 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Free
Please join us for this year’s special NAIDOC event as we honour ’50 Years of Deadly’.
In First Peoples culture, ‘deadly’ means powerful, inspiring, uplifting or amazing – and the deadly performances we have organised are sure to fit the bill!
The event will begin with a traditional Welcome to Country facilitated by a Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Elder, followed by a cultural dance from the amazing ‘Bama Warrma’ and then with a musical performance from Yuggera and Ugarem Le singer/songwriter John Wayne Parsons and his band, ‘John Wayne and The Dukes’.
This is a family-friendly event. We hope to see you there.
