How to Engage Lived Experience Ethically & Effectively | The Hatchery

August 27 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
$699

This interactive seminar is designed for leaders and practitioners who are ready to move beyond good intentions and build organisational systems that engage lived and cultural experience ethically, effectively, and sustainably.

Together, we’ll explore practical frameworks, tools, and language to help your organisation:

  • Create meaningful structures for lived experience engagement.
  • Establish clear roles, accountability, and ethical practices.
  • Develop fair compensation and feedback processes.
  • Assess where your organisation is today and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Leave with a practical commitment you can implement immediately.

The seminar will be led by Ruth Reymundo Mandel, who has worked in training and implementation since 1995. A passionate advocate for social justice and violence prevention, Ruth draws on both her extensive professional experience and her own lived experience as a survivor to help organisations better understand trauma, challenge assumptions, and build survivor-centred practices that foster genuine accountability and lasting change.

If your organisation is committed to embedding lived and cultural experience in ways that create real impact—not just good intentions—we hope you’ll join us for this important learning opportunity.
