Understanding and addressing young person violence in the home (YPVITH) is an increasingly pressing issue for carers and professionals working with children and families.

The Centre’s new Young Person Violence in the Home (YPVITH) eLearning Training module offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of this complex topic.

The eLearning module is a vital resource for professionals supporting young people who use violence in the home (YPVITH) and whose behaviours have resulted in police intervention or contact with the Victorian justice system.

Unlike other training programs, this module is specifically tailored to address violence within the home, rather than violence occurring in the community or external environments.

The training is also available to parents, kinship carers, foster carers, informal carers, and other family members and will take approximately 30 – 45 minutes to complete.

As a new addition to the professional development landscape, this training equips participants with innovative, trauma-informed strategies, aligning with the unique needs of this cohort, promoting better outcomes for young people and their families.
