Stepping Stones to Kinder: overcoming barriers with families to support children access kinder

The Early Start, Bright Future project is pleased to be offering an online training supporting child and family service (C&FS) practitioners to enrol and engage children and families into two years of kinder before school.

The online session will provide:

• Support to unpack the kinder pathway for families, including Early Start Kinder, Three-Year-Old Kinder and Free Kinder available from 2023
• Information on subsidies available for families including Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS)
• Practical tips to support families to overcome common barriers to accessing kinder, including a case study
• Resources to use in your work

These sessions are intended for C&FS professionals of all levels of experience including those working in FPRR, contracted case management and family services. Information will be useful for those new to their roles, and experienced caseworkers wanting a refresher on accessing early years supports.

When: Sessions will be offered across each region in Victoria. Please register for the session relevant to the area in which you work:

• North Eastern Region: Wednesday November 2nd at 10-11.30am – Register here
