Rising, Resisting & rebelling – understanding young people with discrimination

If you’re a parent, guardian or carer of a teen or young adult navigating the impacts of racism, ableism, queerphobia, transphobia or sexism, this session is for you.

Rising, Resisting & Rebelling is a 90-minute online workshop co-presented by ro (phoenix) bersten (intertwine) and Mish Kumar-Jonson (Niram) designed to help you understand what your young person might be going through.

We’ll explore identity, power, discrimination and how to be a supportive adult in a young person’s life, with compassion, connection and community at the heart of it all.

Proudly supported by Maribyrnong City Council, the workshop is open to all but will spend some time discussing our FUSE Maribyrnong program currently running in Footscray, Victoria.
