Pride in Prevention Launch | Rainbow Health

Rainbow Health Australia is excited to announce the launch of new resources – on August 31, they will be launching a new guide in their Pride in Prevention series. This guide is focused on building partnerships between the sectors engaged in LGBTIQ health and well-being, and prevention of family violence and violence against women. The Pride in Prevention Partnership Guide provides additional guidance and practical advice about building partnerships to support the primary prevention of family violence experienced by LGBTIQ communities.

This guide builds on Pride in Prevention: a guide to primary prevention of family violence experienced by LGBTIQ communities, which drew together existing research and policy frameworks, and put forward a new conceptual model for understanding LGBTIQ experiences of family violence, along with priority actions for primary prevention.

The new guide provides additional support to build the expertise and capacity of both LGBTIQ practitioners and organisations, and family violence prevention practitioners and organisations, in the design and delivery of primary prevention of family violence experienced by LGBTIQ communities.
