$750The Royal Children’s Hospital Mental Health (RCH MH), in collaboration with Dr Wendy Bunston – OAM (wb Training &
Consultancy) are delivering a 2-day training package to mental health clinicians and other welfare professionals working with children/adolescents, and their families, affected by family violence related trauma.
This interactive, practice-based training will provide participants with a fully comprehensive overview of everything you need to know about parkas plus and the accompanying manual. This manual, valued at $120.00, is unique by design, incorporating four separate, yet sequentially complementary programs, and has been purposely structured to consider the processes of group dynamics and group stages.
Content includes:
A focus on the groupwork models featured within the manual, just for kids (jfk), jfk plus, parkas (parents accepting responsibility kids are safe) and kaspar (keeping all safe playful active reflection); theories and practice principles informing this work; the interventions and strategies developed within the programs; ways of engaging children and young people (and their families) in a therapeutic working relationship, as well as experiential opportunities to participate in some of the games/activities recommended within the manual.
