Networking & Collaborating for Risk Assessment

June 24 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Free

Working together to respond to family violence is essential for all professionals, no matter what sector we work in. When we want victim-survivors and children to be safe from harm, and persons using violence to receive support for change, we need to collaborate, sharing our professional judgement and expertise with each other to ensure clear identification of family violence, and to inform risk management and safety plans.

Pillar 2 of the MARAM requires organisations to have a ‘shared approach to identification, screening, assessment and management of family violence risk’. This is achieved by using tools consistent with the MARAM evidence-based risk factors as consistency also improves collaboration; services can use the same language and understanding of family violence risk to work together to keep victim survivors safe and perpetrators accountable. (VicGov, 2023)

This training provides you with an important opportunity to build cross-sector relationships, learn from other professionals and to establish networks across sectors in the Bayside Peninusla Area. These networks will be invaluable in your ongoing work.

If you are a professional in the Bayside Peninsula Area who responds to family violence, then this training is for you.

Register today for Collaborative Practice training to explore how to contribute to multi-agency risk assessment and to collaborate for ongoing risk management through respectful and sensitive engagement with victim survivors, information sharing, referral, and secondary consultation.
