Framing Age Workshop – Seaford | Respecting Seniors Network

July 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Free
Join a free 2.5-hour workshop to make sure you’re using non-ageist language and imagery.

We all want a community that respects and values people at every age. Sometimes the way we communicate can unintentionally reinforce age-based stereotypes. By thinking differently about how we speak and represent ageing, we can help create more inclusive communities.

Who is this for?

· People who work, volunteer or interact with older adults in the community

· People working in communications, human resources, ageing, or programs for older people such as community development and health promotion

· Professionals working directly with older people in settings such as community centres, libraries, retirement living, healthcare and fitness

What you will gain

· Build confidence using positive, age-inclusive language

· Practical tools to communicate effectively across diverse groups

· Strategies to challenge age-related stereotypes

The workshop includes videos, group discussions, and practical activities.
