Engaging and talking with young people who experience trauma | CFECFW

This workshop is designed for residential care workers to understand and learn how best to respond to young people through a developmental, trauma informed and intersectional lens.

It covers the impacts of trauma on the developing brain how shame manifests and impacts engagement and communication and how worker self-reflection is important before we engage with young people.

This workshop provides opportunities for residential care workers to practice engagement with young people and refine their existing practice.
