ANROWS Conference 2025 | Centring children and young people to end violence

May 14 @ 8:00 am - May 16 @ 5:00 pm

Join us to listen, learn and act, as we gather with a shared purpose:

To centre children and young people at the heart of the work to end domestic, family and sexual violence.

Too often, children and young people are overlooked in conversations about domestic, family and sexual violence, dismissed as too young to understand or too resilient to be affected. But this is not the reality. Children are not passive bystanders, and the impact of violence does not fade with time – it shapes their future.

Bridging the gap between knowledge and action requires a conscious commitment to acknowledge children and young people and to centre them actively in practice. ANROWS is Australia’s trusted voice on domestic, family and sexual violence. As Australia’s only conference of its kind, this event uniquely brokers knowledge for policy and practice through a focus on centring the voices of children and young people.

Policymakers, service providers, practitioners, researchers and advocates will come together to listen to young voices, learn from their lived experiences, and act boldly to integrate their perspectives into policies, practices and systems.
