  • Detour Program: Early intervention and coaching for young people aged 12–24 at risk of homelessness and their families.
  • Youth Housing First (YHF): Wraparound support and housing solutions for young people (aged 16.5–18) leaving care.
Client Referral Process
  • Detour: Contact the Detour Frankston line directly at 1800 474 993 (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm) to speak with a duty worker for assessment.
  • Better Futures / Youth Housing First: Referrals are typically initiated via DFFH (Child Protection).
  • Crisis Housing Access: Handled through the state-wide intake line (Entrypoint) at 1800 825 955, or the after-hours St Kilda Crisis Centre at 1800 627 727.

  • Youth AOD Outreach: Individual support, case management, and counselling for young people aged 12–25 struggling with alcohol or drug issues.
  • PIVOT: the Youth Crime Prevention program, aims to increase protective factors, community connectedness and sustained engagement in school, training and/or employment for young people aged 14-22 years who are serious or recidivist offenders.
  • Headspace Frankston & Rosebud: Early intervention mental health services, physical and sexual health, GP services, and work/study support for young people aged 12–25.

  • Self-Referrals & Direct Contact: Not sure where to start? Call our Youth Drug and Alcohol Advice Line to speak with a Youth Worker who can give you advice on what YSAS service is best for you, provide information on support options and assist with starting the referral process on 1800 458 685
