Whose health, whose voice? Migrant and refugee perspectives on bias and discrimination in Australia’s healthcare system

This is an opportunity to hear important intersectional perspectives on the pressing issue of bias and discrimination in Australia’s healthcare system. The webinar will include the first public presentation of findings from our national research project ‘End All Bias: Migrant and Refugee Women’s Experiences of the Australian Healthcare System’.

This will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion with expert speakers, featuring Dr Martha Vázquez Corona, Catalina Labra-Odde and Luo, Yi, exploring key themes emerging from the research findings and sharing insights into the strengths and potential of community-led approaches in advancing health equity.

The End All Bias research project aimed to explore migrant and refugee women’s experiences of gender bias and discrimination in healthcare, and how they intersect with other forms of bias and discrimination. This project built on the National Women’s Health Advisory Council’s #EndGenderBias survey.
