Yarning Circle | Woor-Dungin

September 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming September Yarning Circle, which will bring together members of the philanthropic and Aboriginal Community-Controlled sectors to discuss updates, challenges, and grant-seeking experiences. In this month’s Yarning Circle we welcome Laura Egan from Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation where she works with along side community every day in Wodonga. Laura will gift us with story of her experiences completing her Churchill Fellowship investigating how venture philanthropy can genuinely grow enterprises that foster economic inclusion, especially for First Nations people.

Laura will also share reflections on how as a co-founder of the clothing company Magpie Goose she transitioned it into Indigenous ownership.
This will be a generous, conversational yarn about what it really takes to keep First Nations leadership at the centre of enterprise, and how funders, partners and ACCOs can work together.
Come ready to listen, reflect and yarn with us and Laura.
We welcome folks to join us at our office for the Yarn, please let us know if you’d like to attend in person.
