Build your confidence working with people experiencing family violence
This four-hour interactive workshop is delivered by trainers with expert MARAM knowledge or firsthand experience of putting MARAM into practice as clinicians.
Learning outcomes
- Increased confidence using the MARAM tools and undertaking intermediate risk assessments.
- Increase ability to analyse the level of risk and manage family violence risk.
- The ability to apply a trauma-informed lens and understand the reasons why a person experiencing violence may not engage, or struggle to engage, or may even begin to disengage, when you try to work with them about violence they are experiencing.
- A reminder of the ten MARAM principals and your MARAM responsibilities.
- Increased confidence in aligning your case notes with MARAM’s evidence base and language and help to ensure case notes will have a positive impact on the person experiencing violence if they were to read them in future.
Intended audience
Anyone can attend this workshop from any workforce and it’s best suited to those with MARAM intermediate responsibilities who want to expand their learning and deepen their skills when working with people experiencing family violence.
