Organisational and workforce capacity building Co‑design & Innovation With First Nations Communities | Monash Health
Delivered by TACSI (The Australian Centre for Social Innovation), this four‑hour workshop is designed to deepen participants’ capabilities in culturally grounded co‑design with First Nations peoples. It establishes foundational mindsets, frameworks, and practices for authentic community collaboration—supporting broader goals of cultural inclusion, equitable service design, and meaningful policy development.
Purpose
Participants will:
- Reflect on engagement mindsets appropriate for First Nations contexts
- Learn to embed cultural considerations into co‑design processes
- Explore allyship frameworks grounded in lived experience
Target audience
Ideal for practitioners, designers, policymakers, and organisational leaders seeking to enhance co‑design capability in a First Nations context. Suited both to those new to co‑design and those looking to enrich culturally responsive practice. This workshop complements (but does not replace) cultural awareness or privilege training.
