MARAM Collaborative Practice Forums for Bayside Peninsula | Perpetrators in View
September 12, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
FreeThese Collaborative Practice Forums (or Communities of Practice) bring together practitioners that want more understanding on embedding the MARAM Framework and Information Sharing Schemes. With the focus of sharing resources, strategies and knowledge, these forums provide group member involvement and reflection.
The benefits from attending these forums include the opportunity to network with other organisations within a specific service area, engage collaborative practice, negotiate shared understanding, promote exploration of challenges, explore the implementation and alignment of the MARAM/ISS, and share resources and additional information on the forum topic.
Session 3: Perpetrators in View
This Collaborative Practice Forum focuses on perpetrators and what it means to keep them in view. The new Person Using Violence Practice Guides have been released and this forum incorporates the information from these practice guides; discussions will focus on practitioner engagement when working with adults using family violence, addressing misidentification, making referrals, understanding Mens Behaviour Change programs’ purpose and outcomes, and identifying abuse nuances persons using violence use. Activities include a case study, discussion questions and mapping through perpetrator intervention systems in Victoria.
