As we approach the end of the year, a time when many families experience added pressure and when children and young people can be at increased risk, it’s more important than ever to strengthen the systems that keep them safe, connected, and supported.
NAPCAN’s webinar will explore how early, culturally safe, trauma-aware supports can change a young person’s trajectory long before they reach crisis point, including contact with the youth justice system.
This session will unpack the social determinants that shape vulnerability, from housing and education to mental health and disability access, and highlight practical, evidence-informed strategies to create safer and fairer pathways for young people. We’ll also centre lived experience and community perspectives to better understand what genuine early support looks like in practice.
