DESCRIPTION:Bringing the sector together to improve understanding \nWho this workshop is for:\nThis event is for professionals\, not community members. It is designed for people working in: Health services\, Community health and social services\, Family violence\, mental health and disability services\,Health promotion and prevention\,Regional partnerships and networks \nIf your work involves supporting women’s health\, wellbeing\, safety\, or access to care\, this workshop is for you. \nAbout the workshop\nWomen’s pain is often dismissed\, minimised\, or misunderstood. Evidence shows that gender bias\, the social determinants of health\, fragmented care pathways\, long wait times\, and cost barriers all contribute to poorer outcomes. \nThis half‑day workshop brings together professionals across the Southern Metropolitan Region to build a shared understanding of women’s pain and explore opportunities for cross‑sector action. \nYou’ll hear insights from \n\nWHISE’s consultations with women with lived experience\nPractitioners working in women’s pain\nCommunity members sharing lived experience stories\nYou’ll also take part in guided discussions on:\nWhat women’s pain is and why it matters\nWhat drives inequities in pain care\nWho is most affected and why\nWhere systems unintentionally create harm\nWhere collaboration could make the biggest difference\n\nWhat you’ll gain\nBy attending\, you will: \n\nStrengthen your understanding of women’s pain through an intersectional feminist lens\nHear from practitioners and lived experience experts\nHelp identify system gaps and priorities for change\nContribute to shaping a regional follow‑up forum and potential Community of Practice\n\nRegister here

DESCRIPTION:This is an offer to register your interest to attend this forum\, We will announce when registrations are open. \nAt the one-day Intersectionality & Leadership forum you will be immersed in discussion and exchange of ideas\, connection\, learning and unlearning. \nAlignment with the intent of intersectionality is at the core of this forum. \nWe will explore practical intersectional approaches and think critically about the influence of power. \nWith intention\, we are curating a program that offers: \n\nkeynote speaker\,\n\n\nimmersion in 1.5 hour facilitated workshops\, together we will work through translation of theory into day-to-day work that is actionable.\n\nDevelopment of ideas and planning for this forum is an iterative process\, informed by the webinar held in November and webinar held in March\, and expressed interest previously and since then.
