SUMMARY:Complimentary FDV Seminar: Preventing Domestic Abuse in Products & Services
DESCRIPTION:Perpetrators are exploiting everyday products and services to monitor\, control and harm people experiencing domestic and family violence. Any account\, app\, or smart device could be a weapon used to monitor\, isolate\, and control. \nMuch of this harm is unintentional; enabled by standard features\, account settings and service processes not designed with abuse risk in mind. For organisations with customer-facing systems\, the question is no longer if this is happening\, but whether you can see it\, stop it and respond safely. \nThe Hatchery is hosting a complimentary online seminar designed to bridge the gap between FDV expertise and corporate product design. We invite you to join the conversation on how organisations can embed safety-led thinking into their core infrastructure. \nDesigning to Disrupt: Preventing Domestic Abuse in Products and Services\n📅 Friday\, 6 February 2026\, 11am-12:30pm AEDT 💻 Online seminar \nRegister here

SUMMARY:How to use empathy to elicit personal responsibility with men who use violence | The Hatchery
DESCRIPTION:Supporting MBCP facilitators to challenge men’s narratives for meaningful change. \nMen referred to programs are used to sharing their ‘narrative’ but less used to having that narrative challenged in a way that shifts the lens of responsibility to them empathetically and without shame. \nIn this seminar\, Tony will share the psychotherapeutic technique of meeting these men ‘where they are at’ to support MBCP facilitators to challenge men’s narratives. \nThrough utilising empathic\, humanistic engagement techniques\, participants will learn how to create opportunities for these men to understand their choice points\, trigger points\, and the impacts that their behaviours have on women and children. \nClick here for more information and to register
