SUMMARY:No to Violence Conference 2022: Shifting the Burden
DESCRIPTION:No to Violence Conference 2022: Shifting the Burden will start a conversation that changes the focus of family and domestic violence in Australia\, shifting the burden of responsibility from victim-survivors and placing it firmly on the men who use violence. \nNo to Violence will bring together national and international leaders in the field to showcase research\, innovative thinking and best practice work to help reduce – and end – men’s family violence. \nThe conference will open challenging conversations about how to work with men who use family violence\, as well as best practice approaches to engage them in the process to change their behaviour. \nWe hope to energise\, motivate and upskill the sector to engage more men in this process – including those from First Nations\, CALD\, LGBTQI+\, those with mental health or disability and those in regional and rural communities. We will seek to spotlight our First Nations work in each stream. It will also explore how we integrate to transform evidence to action and how we innovate to break the cycle – with a focus on working with young men and boys and with children as victims in their own right.

SUMMARY:MARAM Adult Person Using Family Violence Practice Guide – What Now? | Responsibility 9 & 10
DESCRIPTION:In response to the release of the MARAM Adult Person Using Family Violence Practice Guide Responsibilities \,9 and 10\,  NTV developed a web series to build sector familiarity \nThe web series will provide opportunities for workforces to familiarise themselves with the key concepts\, consider how each responsibility will be integrated into their work\, commence planning for organisational implementation\, and engage in initial discussions with the broader sector around how best to use these tools in practice. \nThese workshops are available to all sectors prescribed in Phase 1 and 2 of the MARAM Framework rollout. \nNTV is excited to engage with the broader sector through this series to promote collaborative practice and strategic capacity building.  It is important to note that these workshops will not be replacing any MARAM training that will be available in 2022 and we encourage all attendees to read relevant responsibilities before coming to each session. \nFor further information and to register\, please see: Adult Person Using Family Violence Registration
