DESCRIPTION:Explore how gender\, colonisation\, geography and systemic inequity shape the experiences of First Nations women during and after disaster. \n\n\n\n\nThis webinar will explore how gender\, colonisation\, geography and systemic inequity shape the experiences of women — particularly First Nations women — before\, during and after disasters in Northern and Central Australia. \nGrounded in the expertise and lived realities of women living and working directly in communities across the Northern Territory\, this conversation will examine how systems designed to protect can instead perpetuate harm\, and why community-led responses must be centred throughout disaster preparedness\, response and recovery. \nImportantly\, this session recognises that Northern Territory communities cannot be treated as if they are the same.
