SUMMARY:Aligning the Personal with the Professional | Lived Experience Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a conference on the 18th of October 2022 to understand how to incorporate lived experience into the Family Violence sector. \nWith a focus on the family violence sector in our region – from prevention through to response – this conference will centre the voice of lived and living experience of family violence and seek to: \n\nRecognise that lived experience of family violence is already in our workforce.\nUnderstand that the presence of lived experience of family violence brings richness to the sector’s work\, and enables the sector to deliver the right services to communities\nFocus on how lived experience and expertise of family violence can be recognised\, integrated and supported to help our sector to retain and grow our workforce\nProvide opportunities for the Family Violence sector in Southern Metropolitan Melbourne to discuss and consider the challenges to agencies to support lived experience respectfully\n\nThe conference organises are delighted that we will be joined by the Hon. Ros Spence\, Minister for Prevention of Family Violence who will share some remarks with delegates. \nThe conference will be held at the Frankston Campus of Chisholm TAFE and\, students and staff from Chisholm will provide a range of activities during the lunch break to assist us to build self-care skills\, and\, make sure that we do take a break! \nThis conference seeks to implement\, apply and provide a space to put into practice\, the recent reforms and work in the family violence sector state wide\, to encourage our organisations and workers to centre lived experience.

DESCRIPTION:This training is open to any professional in the Bayside-Peninsula region of Melbourne who responds to family violence. \nExplore how to contribute to risk assessment and collaborate for ongoing risk management through respectful and sensitive engagement with victim survivors\, information sharing\, referral and secondary consultation. \nThis is not risk assessment training\, but forms an integral component of the MARAM suite of training for professionals responding to family violence. \nClick here to register. \n  \nAbout Collaborative Practice:\nCollaborative practice is integral to MARAM. Responsibilities 5 and 6 focus on the importance of information sharing\, secondary consultations and referrals.
