SUMMARY:Webinar: Create space for pilots and evaluations of community-led interventions | ANROWS
DESCRIPTION:This is the final instalment of our webinar series unpacking the ways of working and ways of knowing set out in The Australian National Research Agenda to End Violence against Women and Children (ANRA) 2023–2028. Funding has traditionally given preference to academic research\, however\, community-led research and evaluation play a vital role in identifying effective interventions for preventing and responding to domestic\, family and sexual violence. What is community-led research? Community-led research means that the research is undertaken by people who identify as being part of the population that researchers want to understand. Community members and/or organisations are involved in the whole research process\, from setting the research question(s) to data collection\, analysis and monitoring.\nJoin our webinar\, where panellists will:\n• Highlight the benefits and challenges of community-led research and evaluations\n• Discuss power imbalances in research and the importance of enabling communities to shape the research that reflects them\n• Discuss the significance of having community-based organisations and researchers to lead and inform the interventions and research\n• Explore case studies that are examples of good practice\nThe panel discussion will be followed with a live Q&A. You can also submit questions ahead of time when you register.\n\n\n\nRegister here

SUMMARY:16 Days Regional Convening: Southern Metro Region | Safe + Equal
DESCRIPTION:The 16 Days of Activism is the annual global campaign to galvanise action against gender- based violence. Each year across Victoria and around the world\, communities mobilise and draw on their own strengths to stand up for respect\, and a world free from violence. \nFunded by Respect Victoria\, the 16 Days of Activism Grassroots Initiative aims to build the capacity of Victorian organisations delivering activities under the campaign\, by delivering consistent messaging\, facilitating connection\, and providing resources and support. \nThe 2026 campaign will build on the momentum of the last two years\, and respond to insights from campaigners around the benefits of connecting with other organisations delivering work locally. As such\, to kick off this year’s campaign we will be hosting ten online Regional Convenings\, to bring together organisations working in each of the nine women’s health catchments\, and one statewide event. \nThe purpose of these sessions is to share updates on this year’s campaign\, and create a space where organisations working locally can meet\, share learnings\, and begin to plan their 2026 activities. \nPlease register for the session for your region or local area. If you aren’t able to join on that date\, you are welcome to join the final session for organisations operating statewide. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nRegister here
