SUMMARY:Get involved in Are You Safe at Home? Day 2025 | Safe + Equal
DESCRIPTION:Join us online to learn more about Safe and Equal’s Are You Safe at Home? Day and how you or your organisation can get involved in supporting the campaign this 10 May.  We all deserve to be safe\, respected and valued in our relationships.  Sadly\, family violence is more common than many of us realise. It happens in all communities\, in all types of relationships and can take many different forms.  Are You Safe At Home? is a national initiative developed by Safe and Equal\, designed to break down the fear and stigma associated with talking about family violence. Are You Safe at Home? provides clear information about what to look out for\, what supports are available\, and how to start a conversation if you’re concerned that someone you know is experiencing abuse. \nThe focus of Are You Safe at Home? Day 2025 is on the crucial role we can all play in recognising and responding to family violence in our communities. If you’re worried about someone you know\, we’re encouraging people to start the conversation.  You don’t need to be an expert – just by asking\, listening and believing\, you can have an enormous impact on someone’s journey to safety.  Anyone can experience family violence – and anyone can help end it. With your support and the existing strength-based\, community-focused and practical tools available\, we’re looking to galvanise a collective sense of ownership around the issue of family violence and the possibility for change in the lead up to 10 May. \nPlease join us online this 9 April for this 30-minute webinar discussing how you or your organisation can support this important awareness day. \nRegister here
