SUMMARY:Domestic Violence & Brain Injury | Red Rose Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Join the Red Rose Foundation\, Rachel Ramirez and Dr Julia De Boos during Domestic & Family Violence Prevention Month for an informative webinar that digs deep into the issue of Partner Inflicted Brain Injury. \nWith increasing discussion and awareness around non-lethal strangulation as part of domestic violence there are shifts occurring in the way recognise and name the impacts. Brain Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury both recognise the impact yet fail to position causality where it belongs- with the perpetrator. As a result\, nationally and internationally we are seeing a shift towards the term Partner Inflicted Brain Injury. \nClick here for more information and to register

SUMMARY:Putting MARAM into Practice: Intermediate Risk Assessment & Management | CFECFW
DESCRIPTION:The Centre has developed a series of new MARAM workshops entitled “Putting MARAM into Practice”. The workshops address some of the key challenges practitioners confront when they integrate MARAM into their everyday work. These practice challenges were identified from three types of consultation: \n\nInterviews with MARAM participants\nObservations and recommendations from the team of MARAM trainers\nReview of MARAM post-course evaluations since March 2020\, all of which included the questions: “How will your practice change after this training?” and “What is the main barrier or challenge you identify in using the MARAM Framework in your workplace?”.\n\nLearning Outcomes: \n\nFeedback from practitioners is that they need more practice applying risk assessment to complex or ambiguous cases\nThis practice-oriented workshop will work through several complex case studies to help practitioners sort through and prioritise evidence\, and to make assessments of level of risk where information is incomplete or unclear.\n\nClick here for more information and to register
