SUMMARY:'How We Thrive' Resource Launch Webinar | Safe+Equal
DESCRIPTION:Join Safe and Equal for the launch of the ‘How We Thrive’ video series\, guiding managers and organisational leaders to support primary prevention practitioners to thrive in diverse settings. \nVictorian primary prevention practitioners work across a number of settings including women’s health\, family violence\, education\, local government\, sports and community services. While some work is undertaken by practitioners in specialised family violence and prevention organisations\, others may be the only team members within their organisations focusing on prevention.\nPractitioners working in this way can feel isolated and might need particular support from their managers and organisational leaders to promote well-being and ensure their projects are connected to their organisation’s broader mission.\nThe ’How We Thrive’ resource suite contains four videos\, each with a supporting tip sheet\, that help managers and organisational leaders understand what prevention practitioners need to feel supported and valued in their organisations. ‘How We Thrive’ also helps prevention practitioners to advocate for their projects and well-being within their organisations.\nThis launch event will include a panel of experts from four non-specialised prevention settings\, who will share their perspectives on how to best support practitioners as a leader\, as well as what helped them to thrive as practitioners in the early days of their careers. There will also be an introductory presentation about the resources\, and how work across a range of settings is vital for the future development of effective primary prevention. \n\nDate: Wednesday 22 February 2023\nTime: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (AEDT time)\nLocation: Online via Zoom\nCost: Free
