Reconciliation, Opportunities, Wellbeing of First Nations Peoples | HealthInfoNet
January 30 @ 11:26 pm
This event aims to bring together researchers interested in the opportunities for, and the wellbeing of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The free event provides an opportunity for researchers of any background to present, discuss and learn about:
- quantitative (data) analyses of economic outcomes and policy/program evaluations
- the availability of data through which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ outcomes can be analysed
- the importance of Indigenous data sovereignty and what this means for non-Indigenous researchers
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research methods and ways of communication.
The event also provides an opportunity to make connections and facilitate collaborations between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous researchers.
Professor Pat Dudgeon (University of Western Australia) is confirmed as a keynote speaker. There will also be invited speakers from both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous backgrounds.
Please note: Attendees have the option to attend this event in-person or online. Zoom links will be sent out prior to the workshop.
